Joshua and Joshua Architects (Pty) Ltd History |
The partners have been the First Black Architects to Qualify at University of Cape Town (1969/1970). We have been in practice since 1971 and going through various stages of metamorphoses that resulted in the current, still dynamic, practice. We have three registered architects with a collective experience of over 60 years of practiced architecture.
Joshua and Joshua was then formed in 1979.
Since its inception the company was granted limited access that was granted in the previous dispensation.
Despite this hostile environment, the company survived and has become a thriving practice on the Cape Peninsula.
Isaac Joshua had been involved in numerous large range private commercial and residential projects. Since the early 1990’s he he has been involved in extensive development work with Intersite Western Cape, with regard to their upgrading and re-development work for the five Railway stations on the Cape Flats.
Larger commercial (Parastatal and Private) developments totaling R 100 million, developments are presently being undertaken at this office.
Hector Joshua was involved in the design of numerous (Residential and Industrial) projects, but recently started focusing on contract administration and technical documentation for the projects we are currently undertaking. |
